Immanuel’s Ladies Society will be hosting an In-Gathering during the months of June, July, and August 2021 for the ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN. We will be collecting the following items:
1. HEALTH KITS: bath towel, wash cloth (dark preferred), bath size bar of soap, 1-plastic soap box holder, toothbrush, sturdy comb, band-aids, small package facial tissues, nail clipper, piece of strong cord or ribbon.
2. LAYETTE KITS: 4-cloth diapers, 4-diaper pins, 2-rubber or swimmer pants, washcloths, (dark preferred), 1-sleeper, 2-onsies, 1-receiving blanket, 1-blanket.You are welcome to bring one or more of these individual items, and we will assemble the kits later at church. If you would like to donate a complete Layette Kit or Health Kit or a partial kit yourself, that would be wonderful!3. Children & Adult blankets, comforters, towels & wash cloths, (dark colors preferred).
4. Men, Women’s, infant, and children’s clothing & shoes
5. Men, Women’s, and children’s underwear and socks.6. Wheel Chairs and Walkers.7. Bicycles, Sports Equipment such as soccer balls or basketballs.
NO FOOD OR LIQUID ITEMS WILL BE COLLECTED AT THIS IN-GATHERING. CUSTOMS DOES NOT ALLOW BABY POWDER, LOTIONS, OR LIQUID SOAP.
Please leave your donated items in the main entry way at church beginning June 1 through August 15th. These items will be taken to the Orphan Grain Train in Sebewaing, MI and will then be used in the United States and shipped internationally to those in need.
Donations of money or checks are gladly accepted, and we can do your shopping for you, or direct your money toward Orphan Grain Train. 98.2% of all monetary donations go toward Orphan Grain Train mission projects.
